If you served with the Division, no explanation is necessary. But what about those who did not serve with the 82nd? As is the case in most of the 100 plus chapters, many of the members and indeed even the leadership of the chapters includes troopers who served with other airborne units.

This probably more than anything else, is what makes the 82nd unique, when compared to many other airborne associations. The 82nd does not restrict membership to those who served with the Division, as do many others. The 82nd is indeed "All American and All Airborne".

If you were "Airborne" you are welcome to not only become a full voting member but can, if you wish, be elected to a position of leadership in the local chapter and even to the Association Board of Directors.

In the Rocky Mountain Chapter, the Board of Directors is comprised of troopers from the 82nd, 101st, 187 ARCT, 173rd Abn Brigade, Special Forces and XVIII Airborne Corps.

Our membership also includes troopers from the Parachute Regiment (UK), the Royal Dutch Commandos and the Vietnamese Red Berets.

The Rocky Mountain Chapter is officially affiliated with the Liverpool Branch of the Parachute Regimental Association (UK). We maintain close ties with our British Airborne comrades.

Our members are mostly from the Rocky Mountain States, including Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota, Western Nebraska and Western Kansas. If you live outside of that area, there are other chapters with whom you can hook up, including Idaho, New Mexico, Kansas City and Omaha just to name a few.

We urge you to sign the guest book or send us an e-mail. We will give you the information you request. Better still, print the application and send it along with your $35.00 dues to:
